View Poll Results: Should DL package a trade for ANOTHER top 5-10 pick?
Fair enough ges. What you propose is not a bad deal to me. I would suggest the lowest of the 3rd's would have to go with Cammy or the Kings may get away with a 4th or Tukonen or another prospect. But I thought the Canucks (and their fans) were all over Bourdon? Regardless these are the kinds of moves I think we will see this summer by DL.
Why are you sour on Bieska?? I don't think the Canucks will ever move him but he is exactly what the Kings are looking for IMHO. I would have an issue with trading Cammy in conference though. I would want him in the East where the Kings would only see him once or twice a season.
I agree, and that's the problem. Waiting until next year's deadline to move him could really be a bad move. I really don't see Cammalleri wanting to negotiate an extension this summer and have his new salary based on his accomplishments this past season.
I disagree strongly. He is going into a contract year and should be very productive, making him an excellent option for a playoff team looking for offense. His salary would be reasonable for a team that would want to extend him and even more affordable as a rental player for a team making a Cup run.
Every second ticking by is a second that we could be trying to extend him long term without over-paying heavily. It should be noted that DL went out of his way to make arbitration about league salaries being out of control and not about Cammy's flaws. I personally like Cammy and would like him extended at the right price and the right term. I think ultimately he is a professional, a competitor and he wants to win.
And Colaiacovo had knee surgery in 2007. It's a perfect fit! The D-man we need and endless bitching from Salty Dog about the fact we signed yet another player coming off knee surgery.

Why was I having the face of Radim Vrbata flash in front of my face when I was reading this post?
