Talk what you will, but speak knowing full well that someone on this board would think that was the best idea EVAR and would have done the same thing if it were the Kings who won the Cup.

I gave that guy **** all night. He showed up with a girl in a Kings sweater, and I gave her crap, too. It was really good natured stuff I was handing the two of them. She understood. He got sand in his fadoodledoo over it about mid way through the 2nd.

Agreed. Either theyre both deuchebagges, or they both arent.
My response was based on too many posters here being very high and mighty (heh, I said mighty...) over the Ducks. Their team, their fans, their arena... everything. Some of it is good natured rivalry stuff. Some of it is ridiculous. When you (general sense, not you personally) go to the Pond and are a dick to the fans, the arena staff, and the cops outside (SloMo) then you have NO room to talk when their fans come into Staples and do the same ****. When you sit and talk trash about every aspect of their team for years, I think it gives them a little bit of a right to throw the crap right back, you know... since their winning. LA is not exactly a hockey hotbed, and tenure does not always equate to hockey knowledge. The team being around since 1967 does not give anyone the right to diss the Ducks fanbase as a whole as 'Bandwagon'. As I recall, Staples is rarely full before the first intermission (we all know theres a big diffrerence between the 'tickets sold' announced sell out and the one where the seats are actually full) and is often times half empty by halfway through the third (unless their winning in which case people might consider staying instead of beating traffic).
Humility as a fan base is something that BOTH these teams are lacking. They need to own up to the wagon and make sure the 14 year season ticket holders are the drivers and we need to unwad our underoos, own up to the fact that right now the team sucks, they got the big prize first and they get to brag a while.
