This is the guy that will be giving the top 2 teams picking fits. It is very possible that this guy turns out to be a cornerstone type player. Everyone is talking about Stamkos and Daughty being 1 and 2 and they should go that way, but it is this kid that may very well end up being the best overall.
I'm from St. Catharines where the IceDogs play. I've seen Alex play a few times...Not impressed..I've seen the Sarnia Sting play a few times as well. Stamkos is AWESOME!

They picked some of the worst highlights to "showcase" Pietrangelo. Why did they show him turning the puck over at about 50 seconds in trying to exit the zone? Weird!

I was wondering about that too. If these are the guys "highlights" I'm not too impressed.
I am beginning to like Bogosian if the Kings drop to #3.
I'm sure Pietrangelo has some impressive highlights. Whoever put that particular package though needs to be fired.
I've had Bogosian has my third dman for quite some time. Nothing has changed for me regarding that.
Trust me, thats his highlights! I don't know what people see in this kid. I think it is his size, but he looks awkward out there and doesn't use his size at all.
Thats what Alex looks like every game. He even gets run over by much smaller guys. He mis handles the puck a lot too. He's like a tall version of Lubo of this year. He's got a slapshot from the blue, which to me won't cut it at an NHL level, but they go in on an OHL level of playing. He doesn't show hearts, he floats around out of position, doesn't block shots or throw his body around. He does have potential because of his size.
However. Stamkos has all around skill (except facesoffs) he blocks shots, throws body around, gets rough, makes plays, strips players of the puck, gets offense going and of course scores goals. Not only that, he's usually double shifted as well.
It'd be cool if Alex becomes a King cause he'll still be playing for the Icedogs next year because I'll be working for the Icedogs next year so I can give some inside scoop and progress on his play. But please please pick Stamkos Deano if you have the opportunity!
