About This Page: This is a discussion on LA Kings Talk within the LetsGoKings.com forums, at Los Angeles Kings Hockey Fan Forum. Since its very likely he will be retiring i think he deserves a round of applause for busting his ass for the past 17 seasons.

Dayamn. Too bad the Kings got him during the twilight of his career. From the video evidence presented, he could throw some bombs and did not discriminate between the left and the right. Thanks, Scott. Happy retirement.
class guy, loved the absolute beat down on Jeff Odgers. Last good fight for him was with Parros and GP came over to him to shake Thornton's hand after the game. My respect for Parros went up a notch...
I took my Thornton jersey off for probably the last time. I told my husband eariler that I was Thorntons number one fan, to which he responded "you're his only one fan."
I think I was his only fan in LA. I have so many memories of his ass kickings in Montreal and San Jose. I was glad he signed with LA. I knew he wasn't going to score a bunch of goals, but he should've been a good energy player and deliver beatings when necessary. I get the feeling he somehow got in Crawford's doghouse this season or was underappreciated by Crawford.
While we didn't see much of his grit while he was here, he did have a pretty solid NHL career. Good for him.
