I don't care if it's Gleason and ______. If by some way DL can get back the young Dman he traded away for JMFJ, it's not a bad deal.

Something tells me that CAR won't be trading anything with DL as long as DL is the GM here.

1) Gleason isn't coming back - they need to ADD to their D, not subtract.

2) Preissing is an AFFORDABLE player with 3 years remaining. What does that say to other FA's if they are traded away after less than a year?

3) What does Carolina HAVE anyway that the Kings would want in their farm system?Another "prospect"?

I'd be surprised if Preissing gets traded. It's usually a big no-no to trade a guy in the first year of a multi-year contract. Sends a bad message to potential free agents.

I would have to agree with CBGB on this one. DL is not going trade away Preissing unless he is getting a young NHL ready player in return who upside is better than Preissing. It doesn't matter if Preissing has had an off year. The whole defense took the first half of the season off. Preissing is locked into the Kings with a decent contract for four years.
