As for a contract in 08-09, I'm sure someone will step forward and sign Blake if the Kings don't. It's pretty obvious the man can still play at an above-average level if he is used correctly.
It is leverage that Lombardi can use, and Blake would consider a return to the Kings because he and his wife love living in their beachfront house.
I doubt that there is as much animosity between Lombardi and Blake though. Blake and Lombardi both want what is best for the Kings' future. If that means Blake changing his address for a few months, I bet he is willing to do it.
