HE has steadily getting better and better over the last few weeks and tonight the was just on fire. Seriously what a monstrous game he has tonight. It looks like his hip is finally all better. His shot is back too. just teeing up. doing give and go's. clean hits , playing some very solid defense.
I am very happy. If this keeps up his trade value will jsut keep getting better and better over the next few weeks.
He has been a joy to watch out there lately. I'll appreciate him all the more, and even forgive Dean the 12 million, when Blake brings us some juicy gifts come trade deadline time!
Maybe this is his audition for a second return trip to the LA Kings.

Did you guys watch the game? or listen to it on the radio. Cause blake was no monster. The goal was a nice shot on a great pass from frolov, he also had decent hit at the end, but as far as the game was on a whole the kings were about as good as the game against nash (in the last two periods). The leafs just suck as bad as us, and Labs saved us. Blake and Appreciation dont go together for me. Sorry.

I am a HUGE Blake basher, but he did have a great game tonight.
The give and go he had was unreal. There were questions about his first step being slow. That give and go blew that theory. His first step was very quick.
He also had some nice stand ups along the boards. Add to that a patented hip and he did very well physically.
His shots were getting threw to the goalie or the deepest dman. He was also spreading out the Leafs on the PP.
Anyone watching from other teams had a lot more to consider after seeing Blake. If my team is in contention and I watch that game with Blake, I get excited if I hear he is coming over. His stock had to rise quite a bit. Now get it done quick!
Like him or not...and I don't, he is playing very well. As I have said, if he accepts a trade it will go a LONG LONG way to help his rep with the LA Faithful. At least they may not "boo" at his jersey ceremony.
Our luck, he will not accept a trade and help drive the Kings all the way to 9th place in the West. That or the other dreaded thing will happen that we must never mention here, ever.
