Do the LA Kings still retain the rights to these players. I know that McGinnis decided to play an over-age season with the Oshawa Generals and Fransson is playing with Linkoping in Sweden. I also read something that said he is contracted to his team until 2009-10.

The Kings never signed McGinnis, so he's a free agent. Fransson has another couple months before he has to be signed, IIRC.
