i have heard many things about beach being an a-hole. what are some specific examples? just curious.
He has a bad attitude, a temper and often times does not listen to the coach. He tends to go off and take stupid *** penalties and does not care. He took his team out of the game for 2-3 games in a row with really stupid penalties, and poor play. His team was fighting for wins towards the end of the season and after the 1st game, the coach warned him against being stupid and warned him that he would be benched if he continued to play that wat. Well, the very next game he did the same thing and was then benched for the next few games because of it. A quick way to drop in the Draft rankings....
He sounds perfect for the Ducks and I hope they pick him. It will just mean more PP time for us when we play against them. If he even makes it in the NHL. Too bad really.....

During a tournament, the coach of Beach's team used the players from the OHL part of his team a little bit more frequently than players from the other junior leagues. Subsequently, Beach later said his team was "Team OHL" and made a few references to it, I believe even making a Team OHL banner.
Nothing horrible, but it is a divisive type of behavior with the team.
With that said, I wouldn't mind the Kings taking a chance on him with the Dallas pick if he fell that far. If they have a lot of leader type players on the team, maybe it would be a good positive influence.

that's what i'm saying... additionally, everyone seems to think he fits in with the Ducks mold because of his attitude. well, yeah.
both Ryan Getzlaf and Bobby Ryan were noted to have poor attitudes and were immature, and they both look like they're going to be fine now.

Did Ryan Getzlaf or Bobby Ryan's Jr. coach ever come out with a quote like this while either of those players were on the team?
Quote:
"I loved our effort, but one person cost us the game tonight," Everett coach John Becanic said of Seattle scoring its three goals after Beach had been called for penalties. "I'm tired of everyone saying he's doing that stuff for the team. We competed hard, and one thing was the difference."
The kid has got ENERGY, you just need to direct it in the right way. I'm all for it if he's got SKIWLZ.
He also suffered two concussions in the span of about 32 days.
If Kyle Beach is going to be effective at the NHL level he's going to have to play a balls out type of game thus subjecting him to a far greater amount of opportunities to absorb more trauma to his head than the average forward prospect.
With the unpredictable nature of how brain injuries heal, do you really want to use a 1st round draft pick on a kid with multiple brain trauma injuries in his recent past?

My recollection of Getzlaf is that he was a physical centerman with some offensive upside and was considered captain material by some but his every game effort was questioned by others. Had a big U18 tourney as well.
Kyle Beach = late first round - early second round draft pick. He has major bust potential and I have to think he will play on a different junior team in the near future. Can't imagine Everett wanting to keep him around so he'll probably get traded.
