Sir Dingly Dan... DUH!
nah. it wont stop me. i'll stop buying gas and take the train down before i miss the games...i only go to about one a month anyway due to time constraints but its been like that basically since i graduated college a few years ago...hell i even go alone..and sit and watch the game by myself...its fun just to enjoy the atmosphere at staples and stand up and cheer when they score...one day they'll win more than on playoff round...and i'll be there for it...i was the only guy in the box cheering down 3-0 midway through the second to detroit...and they all said after that game...that guy was still cheering....so go me :-)
I just landed a job with the city of LA as an engineer. So next year my consumption of Kings stuff (i.e. games, beer, pretzles, popcornopolus(sp?)) will increase dramatically. Mostly the beer will. But I am looking to buy my first 10-game package for next season. I'm excited about next season.
A few years ago I was making trips down from college in Santa Barbara at least twice a month and the Kings were above and beyond my top priority. If you would have told me that things would be changing, I wouldn't believe you.
I've only been to one game this season (going to my 2nd this Sat). With finances being tight, the cost of driving up to LA 90+ miles as well as the other miscellaneous costs associated with going, the Kings unfortunately have to take a back seat to reality.
