Calder - Check.
Preissing - Check. Don't fool yourself, his contract is brilliant.
Handzus - Check.

Nagy - Check. He ain't that bad, and will probably land us a solid pick or more.
Blake - Double-check. We will basically get a first+ for free. (Presumably.)
Purcell - Triple check.
Moulson - Triple check.
Thornton, Willsie get a pass because they were clearly just so called "fillers". And MAYBE they can even land us a pick or two.
Did I forget anyone?
Oh and by the way...
Imagine this team with Moulson, Purcell, Boyle instead of Willsie, Thornton and Nagy. You basically replace a suckish/old/streaky line with young, energic, skilled and big line. Yummy.
I can live with some errors, including Cloutier...because DL acquired Jack Jiohnson and Patrick O'Sullivan.
Name another GM who has acquired 2 young studs this good, without giving up too much to get them.
How pissed would you be now, if your team gave up Jack Johnson or Patrick O'Sullivan?
I just hope he can get one more young stud in a deal at the deadline...that would be MUCH more valuable than more draft picks...
Patty O is awesome, I love seeing that kid play, he sooo good all around! He was basically the only player last nite that when he got back to the bench the coaches would tap him and give props shift after shift!
you win some you lose some when was the last time the kings had this many great young players??? wut a MOVE by Kopi yesterday steveoz sick gotta be one of the best stickhandlers in the league we're STACKED and this year we got draft picks we're headed in the right direction
Exactly, DL makes a list of his mistakes at the end of each year, I think that's a good thing. Although Clouts is on that list, it's comforting to know we have a GM who not only admits his mistakes but learns from them!
Wilsie and Thornton arent exactly busts for what they are paid...
Thorntons gotten some BIG goals this year and Wilsie makes what $16.65 an hour plus bathroom breaks...
not saying the these were great signings by any means....but we did need to fill roster spots til the kids are ready...and lo and behold...Wilsie and Thornton are both UFA and we just happen to have a bunch of kids who are ready...
its almost like theres a plan or something...

Well, not really. This team is playing very good hockey lately, and without AT LEAST one key player. (Either Cammy, Blake or Brown, with addition of Nagy and others).
AND with experimenting with AHL call-ups.
I say he is doing a GOOD job. PERIOD. If our defense (with some improvements players-wise) steps it up even more next season, then hallelujah.
