About This Page: This is a discussion on LA Kings Talk within the LetsGoKings.com forums, at Los Angeles Kings Hockey Fan Forum. General Manager Darryl Sutter told reporters on Monday afternoon that he is not trading Tanguay
TSN : NHL - Canada's Sports Leader
Cammy will NOT be traded unless some team REALLY overpays for him.
Then again, the same could be said about a lot of players on the team.
The available offense is going down with no Sundin, and now no Tanguay. Hossa will move i think, but other than hossa what other offensive players could be moved - other than Cammy.
Good call CBGB - I think teams will overpay for him - especially if Flopsberg decides its definitely a no go
Sutter would love to trade Tanguay's terrible contract but he can't get anything back that would help the team going into the playoffs, so he's going to sit tight and trade him in the summer.
I've just had this sinking feeling in my gut the past few days about this year's deadline. I just know that whatever moves DL makes are going to be tiny and insignificant.
Blake = Staying Put.
Nagy = Hurt; probably staying put; won't be resigned...we get nothing.
Stuart = May get a return; nothing really substancial, more anecdotal.
Wilsie, Thornton = a 3rd or 4th...and a late 3rd or 4th at that.
Priessing = Who freaking knows what he'll fetch, assuming he's even really being shopped.
So, I guess, what this means for me is that if Cammy's value continues to escalate by virtue of Sundin NOT moving, Tanguay NOT moving, Hossa wanting big-time ca$$$h, among other possible, yet minor factors, I say if the right deal for Cammy comes along, pull the trigger.
Just for the fun of it, I had a dream last night that Anaheim was so wanting some up front help after Sundin's decision that DL got Bobby Ryan and EDM's 1st out of Burke for Cammy. Pipe dream, yes I know...but if Burke offered that, I'd be inclined to take it.
I don't know...I'm just bummed about DL's pending moves this year. I just don't see much legit substance happening this year.
And another thing, IF the Blake thing plays out the way it looks like it will with him not waiving his NMC and staying a King this season, if I were DL I'll send a subtle message to him that he will NOT be signed to a playing deal for next season. So, Blakey, if you want to play next season, let me trade you tomorrow morning. If not, we're going with a kid. The King's don't have the time or interest in being held hostage by Blake's clowning around.
How in the world am I supposed to get my Tanguay Kings jersey then?! UGH!
A female, typically in her late teens to early 30s (but it can go lower) who attends hockey games, not to see a well fought game, or to see 2 goons duke it out, but just to look at the studly hockey players in the hoping that one night they'll roll over and see them in their bed, or in his bed, and has little or no interest in the sport or the score, and when a hockey player is brought up in coversation, will commonly use the words "tight, cute, sexy, ass, arms, shoulders" at any point in 1 sentence.
