About This Page: This is a discussion on LA Kings Talk within the LetsGoKings.com forums, at Los Angeles Kings Hockey Fan Forum. whattttt? Penalty on Kop?
The penalty on Kopitar in OT was straight bull****. He was going after the puck in a 50-50 battle and the Duck player grabbed his stick and tucked it under his arm and fell over. A very Teemu kind of move.

Yes it was.
- Purcell & Brown both had tough games.
- Boyle was ok, not great, not terrible.
- Moller didn't looks out of place with Kopitar.
- LaBarberino wasn't terrible and he made a couple nice saves.
- Doughty can skate and is calm with the puck.
- Loktionov looked decent, good speed, made a stone cold retarded pass on a 3 on 1 though.
- Gauthier is ****. I feel pity for whoever is paired with him.
- Simmonds gets an A for effort but a D- for execution. No idea why but dude had his right hand completely free in his second fight with Moen and didn't throw a punch with it.
- Voynov looked better this game.
Doughty was OUTSTANDING. Even on one or two slight misplays of the puck, he recovers so quickly.
What a fine skater he is. And his highly touted ability to see the ice and read the plays was hugely evident tonight.
On one play he skated with the puck behind the net in the ducks zone, and when he passed it off he was the first player back to defend in the neutral zone.
Everytime the Kings have the puck in the offensive zone, it looks to me like Doughty is trying his best to get open for shots whether it's moving around the top of the circles or pinching in and going towards the net, but the players aren't used to what he's going to do yet and they don't look for him. This happens a lot on the PP, but I'm very happy that Doughty is being used on the top PP unit and being used in a ton of key situations.

I have to disagree....Gauthier was on of the Kings best D man out there....He def looked like an NHL player....
Labs and Stoll had the best games for the Kings. Westgarth had a great game too and played regularly with Calder-Boyle....
