Don Waddell said today that the team will hold a drawing on Saturday consisting of season ticket holders to pick a fan who will represent the Thrashers at the draft lottery on Monday. Waddell will watch it from Atlanta and instead send a fan in his place. I’m guessing the fan who goes would be an instant legend among season ticket holders if they can bring home the No. 1 pick.
HELLO!!!!!!!!!!
This comes from a funny article in the Atlanta Journal Constitution

Lehtonen said the players don’t even think about that stuff, and he said his focus is to give the fans a win in the final game of the season. It is Fan Appreciation Night, isn’t it? But wouldn’t you appreciate it if they lost.
Don Waddell got a memo from the league that had the percent chance of landing that top pick in the lottery on Monday night. He was kind enough to share it, and here’s how it breaks down using the standings from right now (Friday at 1:55 p.m.).
30 percent: Los Angeles Kings
18.8 percent: Tampa Bay
14.2 percent: Atlanta
10.7 percent: St. Louis

Is this right?
I'm not sure if they are also calculating the chance that the Kings will lose on Saturday to Anaheim and Tampa Bay will beat the Thrashers, but I don't think so. I thought we held the tie-breaker over Tampa (we have more wins)...so that would place us in the second best slot....with Tampa having the best chance.
30th 25.0%
29th 18.8%
28th 14.2%
27th 10.7%
26th 8.1%(Only these five teams have a shot at picking first.)
25th 6.2%
24th 4.7%
23rd 3.6%
22nd 2.7%
21st 2.1%
20th 1.5%
19th 1.1%
18th 0.8%
17th 0.5%
That's the odds without the teams placed. I do believe the Kings hold all tie-breakers over Tampa Bay.
Here are all the tiebreaking procedures.
If two or more clubs are tied in points during the regular season, the standing of the clubs is determined in the following order:
1. The fewer number of games played (i.e., superior points percentage).
2. The greater number of games won.
3. The greater number of points earned in games between the tied clubs. If two clubs are tied, and have not played an equal number of home games against each other, points earned in the first game played in the city that had the extra game shall not be included. If more than two clubs are tied, the higher percentage of available points earned in games among those clubs, and not including any "odd" games, shall be used to determine the standing.
4. The greater differential between goals for and against for the entire regular season.
So, Wins: Kings 32 Tampa 31, we have the tiebreaker.
We didn't play Tampa so that's done.
Goal differential: Kings -36, Lightning -41

Ok Matt, it's obvious that you should represent the Kings and wear your Stamkos jersey. It would be a hoot if a fan represented each of the bottom five teams and they all showed up sporting their team's jersey with Stamkos' name and number.
BTW, thanks for the prompt reply to my PM and the advice for my kid.
