Sitting there in the Can yesterday with Mick1313 flying the colors (my Deadmarsh 3rd jersey, his Taylor home purple and gold), after the hit Avalanche fan started yelling at us about the "cheap shot". I mean, some of them were angry... at us! Guess it is ok for Lappy make the same hit.
It was soon after that they started the "We want Parker" chant. Nice to see him get one shift in, forearm Lubo to the ice, and then change just as Jack came back out.
Oh, and I know you are a real man and *****, but it's a chin strap Ryan. Look into it. Your helmet should stay on after a hit. Maybe then you won't dribble your coconut off the ice like that.
Exactly and that's what I was referring to when I said JJ was willing to go and Blake did the right thing by stopping that to keep JJ from having the crap pounded out of him by Lappy. Lappy was doing what was expected of him by Avs and Blake handled it perfectly.
Through the law of karma, the effects of all deeds actively create past, present and future experiences, thus making one responsible for one's own life, and the pain and joy it brings to them and others. The results or 'fruits' of actions are called karma-phala. In religions that incorporate reincarnation, karma extends through one's present life and all past and future lives as well.

Agreed. My guess is that more damage was done from the unprotected melon slamming against the rock hard ice than the helmeted slam against the slightly cushioned glass edge.
You people cheering for this are ****ing stupid. It was a clean hit by Jack etc but to cheer for the injury to another player.......? One getting a backboard and a brace at the time the cheering started? One that has family and kids? One that has been a great ambassador to the game itself? Hell, Just as another human being with faily should be enough. Yeah, you guys should be so proud of yourselves. Give me a ****ing break

I agree.
"Duh he poked LaBarbera with a stick...CONCUSSION YAY!"
Childish LGK junior high mentality. It was a clean hit by Johnson no doubt, but to cheer for his injury is just petty immature bull****. Hope that karma catches up with you guys eventually.
Every self-righteous don't-wish-for-an-injury post in this thread is a ****ing joke. Everyone's first reaction to the hit was "Yeeeeeaaaah" and then it turned out to be an injury so now everyone's gotta suddenly act classy. There's nothing more hypocritical than that. It's OK to feel great about a big clean hit against an opponent that had one coming and then feel bad that an injury resulted. You don't have to reconcile the two reactions. It's OK. We all must chill. ****'s sake.
It's no shocker that Denver hockey fans are the same folks that go to the rodeo to see someone get thrown and gored...and I'm just glad we didn't have to read a Terry Frei article about this...non-incident.
Yeah, I hope he isn't permanently injured, but if he has a headache and a sore neck for about a week, then too f***ing bad.
Listen, if Smyth had gotten up and skated away and it was later discovered that he was concussed - I'd have felt the same. I wouldn't have all of a sudden felt remorse and shame in cheering JMFJ's hit. So, because he was knocked out and then stretchered out for precautionary measures, I'm supposed to feel bad?
I bet the people that feel that way are the same people who think boxing and MMA should be illegal in the states, right? I'm not a member of Bush-folk conservativism and I don't feel it's wrong to cheer someone getting knocked out. I cheered last night. And I cheered in 2002 when it happened to Paul Kariya.
Yeah, I'm supposed to show class. Give ME a break.
The guy's not in any grave condition. If he was, I'd certainly feel different. The guy's not bleeding from the throat. The guy's not
