I was curious about that while I was watching the game... even if Cammalleri HAD kicked it (debatable) would the kick be overruled by the fact that it hit the goalies pads and the post before going in? Or is the kick the only thing that matters?
Food for thought.
doesn't matter, if it a clear kicking motion and no other teammates touches it does not count. I saw it on the news a few time and am still not sure FRO touched it before it went over the line
I threw my hat of three years last night. It was the first hattrick that I have seen in person. It was a bit anitclimactic to have the goal reviewed.
As soon as I found out that Fro got it I let my hat fly. What pissed me off was there were five guys in front of me in 205 that had hats and didn't toss them. LAME!!
they panned the crowd and there were plenty of people close to the ice wearing hats not throwing them, almost any other city there would have been 3 wheelbarrels full, they didnt even need wheelbarrels for the amount from Fros

I noticed that damn near every hat in the kiosks out there are only $10. I can understand if you are wearing a brand new, no longer produced, $30 lid but if you are wearing a $10 hat you damn well better throw it out there if you are near the glass.
i was gonna throw my bigass gold pimpin cross...but then i worried about knocking someone out and decided...i was better off keeping it for the beach tomorrow...
When they announced the goal, play started and about a dozen hats came on the ice and THEY CONTINUED PLAY!
The refs were going by scooping up hats. It was rather hysterical.
I was wondering too how long play would go on.... it seemed like more and more hats were being thrown, but Thornton's damn fight interrupted the hat-throwing-during-play-extravaganza...
Worst timing for a fight ever
As for the original topic, I'm sure the lack of hats on the ice was directly related to confusion over who scored the goal, what with Cammi immediately assuming his statue of liberty goal celebration stance and the camera focusing on him...
