ESPN - Open Ice: Time to 'leap' on Emery, Hagman - Fantasy Hockey
I kind of doubt this, but what are your thoughts? How do their skills

O' Sullivan the next Jason Spezza?
At least ESPN says so...

Man, wouldn't it be great if O' Sullivan is the next Spezza?
Two thoughts even if he's not:
1. Cammalleri and a pick...
2. The future is bright I need to wear shades

Patrick doesn't have Spezza's size and probably won't be able to control the game down low like Jason can... Spezza is probably a little closer to Joe Thornton and in the end a better comparative may end up being Anze Kopitar.
O'Sullivan will probably be the better goal scorer... Spezza is and will likely remain the better playmaker.

"He is an emerging talent who should eventually look like Jason Spezza on the ice and in the box score."
Hmm, I don't see the family resemblance. Not to mention one is 6'3" while the other is a generous 5'11".

I hope in five years time ESPN will be writing a "Next O'Sullivan?" article about some young kid.

take away 10-12 assists and add 10-12 goals and you get a better comparative for Partick's upside in my opinion...
Marc Savard.

I guess I see where he might draw the similarities...
Excelled in the OHL
Excelled in the AHL
Continued to improve in the NHL
But it's too soon to draw comparisons between the two.

Sounds good to me.
I kind of like to think of his potential as a more physical Ilya Kovalchuk -15 goals a year.

I'd be cool with that too... it at least assumes the Kings will get to the finals in the first place.
It's been so long since I've even thought about the Kings in the playoffs... much less going to the finals.
