Armstrong's days as a top 6 forward on this team are over
I pretty much concur. But, and I realize you were not attacking army with your post, he was never meant to be a top6 player and pretty much had that role forced upon him. It's fine, he had a decent little year in 06-07, but his move to the third/fourth lines will probably be wonderfully effective.
Going out on a bit of a limb here, but if what DL says is fairly accurate and we can expect 4-5 guys up from Manchester, I have the sneeky feeling that DL is already contemplating where to move Cammy and for what. That's just my hunch.
With that said, I'm not at all opposed to sending a package to Pittsburgh or Boston for Staal or Kessel. Assuming Purcell is one of those 4-5 guys, a top 6 like this doesn't suck:
Brown / Kopitar / Sully
Frolov / Staal or Kessel / Purcell
I'd be perfectly content with this group up front to start the season with.

I'd like that to be true, but I still believe we will see him front the second line at the beginning of next season. I just don't see Crawford giving the spot to Boyle straight away, and I don't see us trading for anyone else.
I thinks Sully should be the 2nd line center and they should try to replace the wing internally. Somebody like Tukonen or Purcell, give them a Sully kind of chance and see what they got.

i'm mostly agree but i say NO TO JORDAN STAAL. If that guy can't get his game together playing with malkin and crosby, he won't do it anywhere. i like phil kessel, though, but lets be realistic...boston is not going to shop him.
