The ENTIRE olympics suck royal ass, so yes they were worse than the kings last year.
Agreed. The second they started letted highly-paid professional athletes onto Olympic teams and countries started paying expatriates to compete for them, I lost pretty much all interest.

pretty good, but soon we will be back to Hockey and Go Kings Go..........
You act as if I were paying attention to the Olympics or something.
I did happen to wake up around 5AM a few days ago and flipping through the channels. Saw there was a game for the US vs. New Zealand in women's basketball and the US was up by 40 points and I said to myself after a minute of watching "well, that's enough of that".

Indeed, speaking of the Olympics. I was really hoping for a "Miracle on the basketball court" Nothing would have made me happier than to see the American team handed their arses by an opposing underdog team. You mean "blue collar" as in the thrashing of the Nagano Olympic village dorms by our US Hockey team? Yeah, those are ethics we can appreciate.
I thought the Olympics were pretty darn good as well. With Phelps, and Walsh/May, our women Gymnists, Basketball, waterpolo, volleyball, etc. was pretty amazing. The ref getting kicked in the head byt the tae kwon do dude when he got DQ'ed.
The opening ceremonies were ok but closing was boring. Best part on closing was the collage NBC did with all the athletes showing them winning/losing the tears of joy to tears of pain and defeat etc. I personally thought it was a lot better than last Summer games.
2 thumbs up for me on the Olympics. And even the Redeem Team for basketball showed a lot of class and participated in other sports to show their support for fellow athletes. Also when they won they were extemeley happy and showed how much pride they had and how much it meant to them to represent their country.
