I can't see this Kings team finishing in its current last overall spot. I know what that means as far as the Stamkos sweepstakes goes but we better start shifting towards a player further down the list because this team is getting hot.
I know we have a lot of divisional games in March and April and we are in arguably the toughest division in hockey. But this team will play better than .500 hockey from here on out. And that will put us out of that first overall spot.
Hopefully when we make our trade deadline moves we pick up players that will fill some of our gaps (defense and goaltending). I know the Dead Things will bring us back to earth our next game but we are on an upward swing.
So I guess the bottom line of this thread is.....
SCCCCHHHHEEEEENNNNNNN! (sorry I had to do it)

I was Americanizing his name. The C drops when you cross the border. Didn't the Kings draft Charlie in the 5th round in 87?
They traded for him. A first round pick, a few young guys, and his less talented brother Emilio. (Who went on to injure his leg, retire, and coach a pee-wee team to greatness.)
I would rather have some hope going into next season, than stamkos, sorry but, I think we are finally playing the way we should have been the entire season, good but not great. I think the rest of the season will be about .600 finidhing around 10th or 11th in the conference and 20th overall getting the #10 pick in the draft.

There was plenty of hope to go around going into next season even without their improved play.
I doubt that the Kings will be able to move up to 10th or 11th in the conference after Lombardi pulls the trigger on some of these deadline deals.

I don't know.
They look OK without Blake, looked OK without Cammalleri, looked good last night without Brown, and with the way the team has played using the kids from Manchester, who knows?
