Norstrom admits he's having fun. He'll be an unrestricted free agent in the summer, and he says he plans to play for as long as he can. And he said he's not worried about next season.
"I will tell you this, the NHL is the only league that I will play in," Norstrom said. "It's that special to me to play in this league, that much of a privilege, and that's maybe why I take this so seriously. I know this is not forever, and I'm not going to take it for granted."
Everyone remember the Hammond quote from the Whiteboard conversation in Deano's office last summer, about a player that he can't mention because that would be tampering?
Both Blake and Norstrom back for one more season together....
I would usually agree,
but I think Norstrom would still be a good fit here. He's old, yes, but he is a familiar face that might give the discount for and he has the utilities that the Kings need in ACTUAL defense (not "puck-moving") and "leadership".
He would be more bang for the buck than BLAKE is.
Anyone that can take Weaver and Dallman as a partner and drag them along to become a decent NHL pairing has my respect.

I would happily welcome back Matty, we need a defensive dman. Placing him on the bottom pairing, & the PK would definitely help us out Plus we've got a season or two before some of out defensive prospect are NHL ready, Matty would be a great "filler."
