That's not a bad thing saying he's the worst defenseman on Dallas. Boucher, Robidas, Daley, Zubov, Niskanen, Frisitic are not exactly a medicore core of guys.
If he came back on a one year deal along with Blake, I wouldn't be too mad. He would come back and instantly be the Kings best defenseman on the penalty kill (which again doesn't say much). Sign him and Blake to one year $3 million deals and if it doesn't work out then deal them.
The more I think about it, I don't think Bogosian or Doughty will make the team out of camp. It will probably stunt their development. The only wildcard is whether Hickey makes the club next year.
I would normally say no, but I love Matty. We're not winning the Cup next year, so why not bring him back for a year or two? Our defensive corps. are thin as it is.... No different than having Klemm here...
Isn't one old and slow guy back on the blueline enough, unless Blake still wants his $6m per it's pretty inevitable he will be resigned, and if he continues to play with JMFJ get more minutes than he should
We are going to have to try and overpay for a UFA such as Orpik
Either trade for NHL or NHL ready D prospect, or hope to hell our draft pick(s) can step in
