Default Nobody Mentioned the O'Sullivan for Lehtonen Rumor?

Hockey Leaks

Quote:
While the Kings are said to be not interested in dealing Patrick O'Sullivan, Hockeyleaks.com has learned his name has come up in recent talks with the Atlanta Thrashers. The Thrashers are looking for someone to play with Ilya Kovalchuk, and believe O'Sullivan could be that perfect fit. The Thrashers are apparently offering goalie Lehtonen, as they feel rookie goalie Ondrej Pavelec is ready to take over and is a better fit for their young team. The Kings have struggled in net since the lockout, and Lehtonen could be a long-term fix in goal for the rebuilding Kings.
Do it Deano!

Oh.... wait..... sorry....

Edit: How about O'Sullivan and LaBarbera for Lehtonen and Bogosian [/dream]

This seems like a much more realistic proposal, at least for the kings. I'm not sure if it's really that great for the thrashers but I wouldn't be in uproar if I saw PO and JLB go for Lehtonen+.

Lehtonen is 83 born and has played 68 games a season winning 34 (.500) two season ago. Last year, however, he went down with a groin injury early in the season (ugggggghhhhhh) but from what I read seems to have come back from it and played well for the remaining games.

It's nice to see someone with a proposal/rumor of someone coming to us that has their best days ahead of them.

i'd do Sully and JLB for Lehtonen and Enstrom

It makes no sense to trade O'Sully for Lehtonen UNLESS LaBarbera (or Ersberg) were dealt for a prospect defenseman (Thrashers are thin on D as it is) -

Dean can always sign one of the many UFA forwards as a "filler" and have a pretty remarkable class of D-men for the future:

Maybe it's PO and one of the young goalies (not Bernier) hence the tryout for Martin Jones...........

True, but that trade does not have to happen with ATL!

Lehtonen has had groin issues every year since he broke into the league... bad legs.

You're assuming there's a GM out there who would actually want Labarbera or Ersberg. Maybe a conditional pick for Labarbera, but chances are good Ersberg could clear waivers without a problem.

I think Atlanta fans would crucify their GM if he did that. We'd be lucky - I think we'd have to throw in Harrold.

Only thrasher I wish was in a kings uniform would be Bogosian. It's frustrating to see this though because the Kings just seem completely incompetent in re-signing what we have. They just f-in deal them away!! Somebody needs to let the Kings admin. know that it actually will cost them money to keep their core players. meanwhile... ticket prices continue to increase. This is such B.S.!!!

Since DL has taken over he's had to sign 2 core players to contracts, and he's gotten one locked up to one of the best deals in the league, that being Brown. He's working on O'Sullivan. So which core player(s) has he dealt away?

As much as Sully rocks...

ATL: O'Sullivan + LaBarbera
LA: Lehtonen + Exelby or Enstrom
