About This Page: This is a discussion on LA Kings Talk within the LetsGoKings.com forums, at Los Angeles Kings Hockey Fan Forum. I would rather go to the dentist than watch the Academy Awards.
Tip A King (although a bit lame in my opinion) is for a good cause.
This is right up there with retiring Dave Taylor's jersey in 1995 on the same night as the NCAA basketball championship final which happened to feature UCLA that year.
Who scheduled this event opposite the Academy Awards?
Granted, many Kings fans could give a flying V about the awards, let alone tell you what films they were in, but your WIVES will prefer to see what outfit Jessica Biel is wearing rather than count how many teeth Dustin Brown is missing.
Instead of spending $170.00 per couple just to get IN to the event, another 50 to "tip" the Kings and probably another 25 to 50 bucks to buy one of those "mystery envelopes", I have a feeling many will opt to stay at home and watch what witty things will be coming out of Jon Stewart's mouth.
They pushed it back a week so as not to interfere with this past Sunday's highly anticipated American Gladiators Finale. Excellent planning, if you ask me.
