DL's long-term strategy will never come to be. We'll still be looking for a good goalie and D in the 2020 season. I'm not jaded, I just have no faith in the future.
But screw it, hot chicks still dig hockey guys. I'll still be the loudest one in the Staples Center when I'm there
The kings will be better next year (echo next year.... next year...next year.....next year....next year.... next year...next year.....next year....next year.... next year...next year.....next year....next year.... next year...next year.....next year....
Visnovsky (horrible all season)
Preissing (barely better than Visnovsky)
Johnson (the one bright spot)
In net:
Labarbera
Cloutier
Yeah - next year's gonna be a real treat...
Why is it people can't see this? I can't even begin to say how much I hope I am wrong, but looking at it right now next seasons defense and goaltending will be a carbon copy of this season. Only some names will have been changed to protect the innocent.
Remember all the people that were hoping and praying for Stuart and Preissing last June?? Yeah, that worked out well. And now there is 1 struggling veteran, 1 overhyped veteran and 1 'high potential' sophomore on the books so far for next season on D. I foresee Lombardi begging some 2nd tier defensemen to come here to fill his so called 'bridge' spots for one more season with unloadable contracts just like this year. Which ABSOLUTELY kills me because Lombardi constantly talks of building from the back out. We were weak there when he got the job, that whole season, this whole season, and from the looks of it, next season too!
I really hope I am wrong, but I can only use past results to predict future returns.
Everyone here is good at quiting.....thats all i can see.
DL never came in saying he was gonna turn this team around in two years.....he didn't want to say rebuild but thats what it takes for a team to be good, especially a team that has never rebuilt in such this way. But you can't say next year will be bad with the way sully, kopi, brown, boyle, moulson, frolov, purcell have played........it shows you glimpses of what is to come.

Thats great, but who is going to stop the other team from scoring?

hey i did say in another thread that i wouldn't be surpirse to see DL trading some of the massive amounts of picks he gots for a couple of d-men.......besides, jack is playing great hockey, harrold seems to fit in nicely....some recently traded d-men are gonna be FA after the season is over so you never know.
