So last night i finally got to go and see the Kings live again after almost 6 years.
It was nice to see and meet 2 of what were about 10 total Kings fans in the entire arena last night as well. HockeyChick and KingsFanKat I hope you both had a great time at the game and it was good to meet you both.
Here is a quick rundown of my thoughts.
The Summet Center is a GREAT place to see a game.
The predator fans were all great and really into it. Some of the "chants" they all have in unison during the game are absolutely hilarious and all in good fun. Almost Rocky Horror Picture Show-esque in the responses to the area announcer.
THE KINGS NEED ICE GIRLS
The "hamburgers" we got at the club level grill were atrocious! I still am trying to figure out what in the hell that mystery grey meat was, and my intestines have fully rejected it as well. $12 for a "cheeseburger" basket, which was the previously mentioned burger and some sort of potato chip that more resembled and tasted like very salted greasy styrofoam.
THE KINGS NEED ICE GIRLS
The animated intro to the Preds is AWSOME! Their logo transformed into real life beating the hell out of their division rivals, which included mauling the Red Wings player.
DID I MENTION THAT THE KINGS NEED ICE GIRLS?
All of the Pred fans were very gracious, and knowledgeable. The train whistles that everyone was blowing every time Jordan Tootoo stepped out on the ice got to be a bit annoying though.
The strangest part of it all was being one of only 10 in the whole arena that were clapping or making noise after each of the Kings 4 goals. I had been to MANY Kings at Ducks games back in the day, but there was always so many Kings fans there it never actually seemed like being in the "enemies barn". This was weird to say the least, and it made me miss the roar of 18,000+ of Staples Center when the Kings would score.
I can not wait for next season already when I will be brining my little girls to the game, and yes, they will be wearing the Kings crest proudly.
There was an odd sense of pride wearing the Kings Jersey last night. The sense of pride knowing this organization is headed in the right direction and knowing that although i wore the crest of the last place team in the league, I wore it with pride. Pride because YES, the Kings are MY Team!
Go Kings!!!!

For us, El Guapo is a big, dangerous man who wants to kill us. But as sure as my name is Lucky Day, the people of Santa Poco can conquer their own personal El Guapo, who also happens to be *the actual* El Guapo!

Did you see those people waiving the Kings flag/towel? They seemed like they were pretty into the game.
I didn't see the flag waiving, but did see couple in a vintage Robitaille and current Robitaille jersey down near the glass. We were on the penalty box side of the arena.
I'm finally logging on after a while....was good to meet you at the game too!
I'll have to agree and disagree with you on some of your thoughts on the Sommet Center....
The arena was great and the Nashville fans WERE all very nice - and playfully "booing" us as we walked by. It was all in good fun - not the way most LA fans are with visiting fans - haha.
$2 beers until the 1st period!!??? My friend and I each got 2 before we sat down. Would've cost me almost $20 to drink 2 beers at Staples!!! WE NEED BEER DEALS!!!
The part I'll have to disagree about is the Kings needing Ice Girls. But that's just cuz I don't wanna see them! And the cheerleaders? Just doesn't make sense to me to have girls cheering in skimpy outfits in a cold arena... But that's just MY opinion - and I'm sure it's a pretty rare one! haha

That would rock, but will never happen.

I read this and thought the total opposite... Girls in little outfits when it's cold sounds absolutely great. Get er done Dean.

You know... I normally just like going to a game and being able to focus on the hockey... but the way you just described the cheerleaders in skimpy outfits in a cold arena... makes me miss them now
I LOVED $2 beers until the end of the first intermission! And in downtown Nashville at certain bars they had $2 Miller Lites on game days. Pretty sweet!
The chants were pretty cool--everyone really supported their team. They had one section, Cell Block 305, that started all the chants. They were the rowdiest people but were having so much fun. I HATED their Predator fang move. It was beyond lame. My friend and I thought they were doing " " marks.
I had pork on top of nachos. Not my best move for dinner that night. Should've stuck to the beer.
It was great meeting you A5minmjr! There were not enough Kings fans there for me. There were more when I went to London--even though I was overrun with Ducks fans there. It was a great experience though!
