Last week, Red Wings defender Chris Chelios said this of Rob Blake in an interview on a Detroit radio station: "He's in a situation there where there's just no light at the end of the tunnel and he's lost his drive right now. I've been there. I talked to him last time we played him, and he would love to come here."
Blake's response: "I don’t know if that’s exactly what was said (between he and Chelios), so I’ll leave it at that."
Blake said he wasn't upset at all with Chelios for making the comments. When I asked if there's any truth to him losing his drive, he gave a long ``Well ...,'' then said he was still trying and he didn't know any more he can say about that.
I wanted to add in that Blake said he hadn't heard about any comments Chelios made. I read him the quote.
Any thoughts....?

Well, first he started playing with an edge again, then he started shooting the puck more and even scoring the occassional goal. But now, that he appears to be unhappy with the Kings, we can truly say that Rob Blake has returned to form.
Once again, RB doesn't DENY saying he'd like to play elsewhere just "I don't know if that's EXACTLY what I said"
No DENIAL from your captain.
No "I didn't say that. I play for the Kings"
But The Hitman would have you believe "he didn't really mean it"
F Rob Blake and his ugly wife
I would've even accepted a "I may have said that out of frustration, but I understand we're buildiing something here and it takes time...." something along those lines, but like you said, just a vague statement, in no way denying talking bad about the team he's supposedly leading. Gee, I hope JMFJ is picking all this up from his mentor.

Like I said-- politics, the boy belongs in politics.
As for JMFJ.. I hope someone like Armstrong slaps him upside the head and reminds him this is not his idol of old... this is a selfish, bitter, greedy, nasty little man that is a role model for an ass wipe let alone a young, impressionable kid.
Can't he just STFU and wait for Lombardi to get a deal done, then ask him if he is willing to waive his NTC? When Lombardi asks him to waive the NTC he should do it and just say thanks for bringing me back to LA for a couple of seasons.
