Congratulations to Oscar on making it to the NHL. I love this kid and I hope he dawns our colors for a long time. This is great news, I look forward to training camp, with so much talent this will be amazing.
Just cause he signed doesn't mean he'll be in the NHL next season.
At least we have him in the fold, I really have a hard time with this age rule in the AHL
I understand it is to keep the talent level in the O, Q or WHL high, but their should be an exception if a player has played a full season that he can move to the next level
Yea, I can't stand that rule either. I'm tired of having all these prospects having to stay in juniors when they should be moving up to the next level in the AHL. I agree that a players should be allowed to leave after a full season in Juniors after being drafted.

I never said next season. But he is contracted and likely to play at least 1 NHL game. Being signed by an NHL team is essentially making it, even if he goes out in three years he still was signed by a big club and is associated with the NHL.
