Modry played better than Blake while here while also earning a 4.5+ Million less.

Modry also gets us a 3rd in a deep draft. Blake sucked all of last season and only played well a month in a half this season. Ties up a lot of our cap and has neeted us nothing in return.


We need to trade Blake for Modry!

I agree. I think we would have been better off hanging on to him due to lack of defense than giving him up for a 3rd rounder. This is just retarded.

Hang on to Modry for what? To have a 38 year old player on Defense next year? To improve our worst in the league record to next to worse in the league this year? To keep Petiot and Harrold in the minors for the reason of the season? There was nothing to gain by keeping Modry here and a 3rd round pick should turn out to be a pretty good one, or at least another asset.

People WANT Modry here? I never thought I would see the day...I am tearing up here. LOL

I actually think this is a good trade. Modry is old and while he is a very serviceable d-man (a plus player on this suck team), he is too old the young team this team should be.

Now Blake, please do what is best for the Kings and not yourself, and waive your NTC and help the Kings. Stop being selfish!
