I'm now on Gescom's bandwagon. We don't need another undersized winger with 80 point potential. Yes, its still potential to me, he put up his points last season, and he seemed to come out and get hot, then fell apart and get hurt trying to be a leader and the player he isn't.
Brown stepped up. O'Sullivan stepped up. The pups need somewhere to play. They didn't look out of place in the first ten minutes tonight, and that was before Detroit woke up and then made our entire team look like a Bronze squad from TSC.
Trade his ass for a legit #1 or #2 center now. Please.
I'd like to see how, say a Jeff Carter, would respond to a year with Crawford...
Every team has room for a one-dimensional sniper, but Cammalleri just doesn't provide enough for that role on this team.
The Kings organizational strength is on the wing right now, which coincidentally is the least important position in most hockey minds. It makes sense that the wingers with the most value (and most troubling contracts) be the first ones moved if one wants to get the house in order.
First and foremost, a number one goalie must be acquired/developed. Secondly, this team badly needs a young #1a /#2 offensive minded centerman. Youthful size and grit on the blueline and wing are a close third.
I'd be perfectly happy if Cammalleri can be moved for any of these things.
