...Remember the UPS motto - What can Brown do for you?

Well, Dustin Brown delivers!
Brown delivers the mail every game - he leads the National Hockey League in hits and he's one of those guys who offers up a great combination of hits, goals, passion and overall enthusiasm.
It's great to see Brown mentioned along with Getzlaf. That is extremely high praise and the accolade is well-deserved. However, let's be fair though to the fans who expressed reasonable skepticism during DB's previous seasons. This year has been transformational for Brown, a true watershed in his career. He has demonstrated far greater offensive skill, confidence and leadership than might have been predicted or expected based on his previous performance. Brown's maturation as a prominent NHL power forward is a the most visible and rewarding facet of this year's silver lining. I think many more people are saying "Wow!" than saying "I told you so".

Kopitar, Sully and Brown forever!
Sorry, but I won't. I don't post here often anymore and that is mostly due to the fact that by in large, it's the same 10 people posting the same crap over and over again.
It was also those same 10 people, whom I believe don't have a clue what they are talking about most of the time, who obviosly are nothing more than fans of this game, who were so quick to write off this kid. YES KID.
But...because they sit on here all day, and obviously know everything, they should get a pass, right?

I've never seen a truer statement posted on this message board.

It wasn't "reasonable skepticism" when the KID is early 20's and these no-it-all armchair scouts/GMs have him pegged as a career 3rd liner and say he has no "hockey sense" OVER and OVER!
Now they come back with "well he hadn't shown that yet", and "had he not changed the things I said were wrong with him he wouldn't be having a breakout year".
Well no *****! He was/is developing!
It's one thing to have an opinion, but to forecast a player's career and make predictions like that, you are obviously pretty sure of yourself and your opinion. So now it's time for those cocky no-it-all posters on here who think they know more than the scouts/coaches/and GMs to have a big healthy serving of humble pie and crow.
Players do not ALWAYS come to a team and wow us like Kopitar. Next time a young developing player comes up hopefully these clowns will not be so quick to "scout" them and predict their ceiling. That should be the "fairness" you're asking for.

Sorry, you're right. You obviously have a much better grasp on which players will and will not make it, and if I ever have a dissenting opinion, I'll be sure to read what you think before I disagree. Same goes for anyone else who didn't like Brown's development the first couple years.
Or, you can have a healthy serving of stfu pie and see that the doubters have acknowledged and are quite happy with the strides Brown has taken.
I know it feels great to rub into the noses of pointing out the obvious to those of us who worried he wouldn't improve because, at the time, the criticisms were valid. But don't let that get in the way of a good bait.
