McCabe to LA????

I am working hard on a Leafs rumour this morning where Toronto would send Antropov, McCabe and Raycroft to a Western Conference Team. Last night there were 17 scouts from 15 teams that watched the Maple Leafs lose to the Blues.

This got me thinkning - would I be willing to take Raycroft if it meant I got McCabe and Antro?

This is an interesting quandary and it just shows that Cliiff Fletcher is getting creative with his trade possibilities.

I agree with an earlier post that we need a true number two center and Antro fills that need immediately. He is huge and talented and would play real well on a line with Frolov.

McCabe is a true 1 - 2 dman when healthy and Raycroft is an anomaly wrapped inside of an enigma. How does one fall so fast? Maybe a change of scenery is all he'll need (one where the expectations arent through the roof like they are in Toronto).

for

Cammy
LaBarbera
Priessing
and a 2nd

Brown - Kopi - Sully
Fro - Antro - Nagy
3rd line
4th line (pick who you like)

Blake - Johnson
Vish - McCabe
Stuart - Modry

Raycroft
Aubin

At least with those two goalies we'll be in the Lottery for SURE! Plus we build for the future with McCabe and Antro and the Leafs can build with Cammy and finally get rid of Raycroft.

Why not trade Cammalleri straigth up for Antropov? This is probably the ONLY realistical combination (based on players you mention) I would be fine with.

Not to mention that replacing JLB with RAYCROFT would most likely make Aubin our #1. And you know what does that mean. Not only STAAAAAAMKOOOOOOOOSSSSSS, but TAAVAAAAAAAAREEEEEEEEEEESSSS too.

Antropov ,I think, would be sick as hell with Frolov(possible olympic line?) I like the Idea of fellow country-men playing on line together. I can careless for the rest of the proposed deal. I'd even throw in Lewis as a kicker If it would take Roycroft off the table (we don't need him with Boyle doing so well and Handzus improving next year)

Cammalleri anLewis For Antropov straight up. Sounds good for Kings fans ,but does Toronto even want to part ways with Antro in the first place?

Then ,with the second line center role filled, It would be easier,atleast for me, to swallow passing on Stamkos, trading down and getting Schenn or Filatov... and hopefully Beach or Meyers falls to dallas' pick.

dont worry man, most of us that back the concept of trading cammy wouldnt ever take Antropov.
