Cammy is better than Antropov

McCabe is better than Preissing (when healthy) but Preissing's contract and age make him a better value.

JLB is better than Raycroft.

If we were to accept a trade like that, they would also have to give us Kaberle and maybe 2008 & 2009 1st Round picks.

There isn't a team in the league that wouldn't give up a 1st round pick, a 2nd or 3rd round, a player, and a prospect for Cammalleri.

Plus... everyone in Toronto except Sundin and Kaberle are overrated.

Sundin (with the promise of signing a long-term contract which will NEVER happen), Kaberle, and Raycroft is the only trade I would even consider with Toronto.

Well, since I live in Slovenia and not that f-ed up N. America, I don't get to see other teams' games...

I based my opinion on Antropov's stats, and, believe it or not, his size.

According to Eklund. McCabe may be coming to the Kings. I know it is probably 100% false cause Eklund is NEVER right. Anyways, why would the Kings bring in another veteran and a terrible contract along with that.

I know...This move makes NO sense for the Kings. We shouldn't be trying to add veterans but trade them for young players, prospects and draft picks.

This got me thinkning - would I be willing to take Raycroft if it meant I got McCabe and Antro?

This is an interesting quandary and it just shows that Cliiff Fletcher is getting creative with his trade possibilities.

I agree with an earlier post that we need a true number two center and Antro fills that need immediately. He is huge and talented and would play real well on a line with Frolov.

McCabe is a true 1 - 2 dman when healthy and Raycroft is an anomaly wrapped inside of an enigma. How does one fall so fast? Maybe a change of scenery is all he'll need (one where the expectations arent through the roof like they are in Toronto).

and a 2nd

Brown - Kopi - Sully
Fro - Antro - Nagy

At least with those two goalies we'll be in the Lottery for SURE! Plus we build for the future with McCabe and Antro and the Leafs can build with Cammy and finally get rid of Raycroft.

Unless we're flipping him elsewhere, and that assumes he would wave it to come here.

Once you waive your no trade clause, its gone. The team getting him has the ability to deal you elsewhere at will.
