Inside the Kings
Don Fulton is doing a nice job getting this interviews.
To be frank, no one cares except the rabid LGK/HF/Hockey Internet junkies (like us).
the casual fan hasn't heard of these guys, and doesn't give a **** over the summer until the preseason games get started. Then they'll learn about who the Kings drafted and wonder why they didnt draft a goalie since thats obviously what ails the kings.
Dunno i have signatures disabled. But I sure as hell wouldn't mind getting him.
Over doughty or stamkos you would, at minimum.
being physical with kids and having an ok offensive upside is not akin to being a dominate skater with superior hockey sense.
Thats what separates the Lidstroms from the Footes of this world.
If the physicality of Schenn is what really does it for you, I promise there are players just as physical that will be picked off in the second and third rounds.
trading up from dallas' pick is a different story.

The physical aspect of Schenns game is whats really attractive about him being that there is little to noone in the defensive pipeline for the Kings who are big & physical. However i'm not going to lie, other than that i don't know much about his game or Bogosian or Doughty etc.
Im not much of a draft monkey. But i dont think id be too upset if somehow we end up picking 3rd or 4th and take him or if DL was able to swing another top 5 pick if we pick in the top 2.
Assuming the unthinkable happens and we loose the lottery, does DL try to trade down a little and take Schenn, I don't think he is a #2 pick, but would probably still be on the board at #7 or 8

Exactly. There hasn't been really a young guy like that since Gleason and then (way) before that with Matty Norstrom. The Kings are certainly lacking in that catagory. If the Kings don't get the #1 I would rather have this guy than any offensive minded guy.
I don't see the Kings moving up as that Dallas pick will be way too low. They have to trade a top line guy to move up and I don't think DL would do it.
