Not as the second overall. I think it is pretty straightforward out of Doughty and Bogosian. Though its not like we were expecting Hickey last year so who knows...
The chances of us getting two of the top four Dmen in the draft are pretty slim. We are gonna have offer something pretty rediculous to get atlanta or the blues to give up their picks. I dont think DL is willing to give up that much.
I do think we have a chance at lower rounders 5-10. Its in these selections that i think we have a decent shot at trading for. Schenn should be available still here, and so should Tyler Myers. Doughy or Pietrangelo to compliment either of those two would be great. Also, Schenn and Hickey do have history together, it may be something small, but its just one of a million factors DL has already been considering.

I agree with you. I think one(Schenn) of the "Big 4" will fall out of the Top 10 and when that happens I see Lombardi moving up and snagging the last of top dmen.
The last time 4 D-men were drafted in the Top 10 was 1997.

I keep raeding post about two top defensive prospects in the first but I suggest Filatov and then trade up for schenn. do we need filatov? no! but he is the best player availible. Just because we have a few logg jams at forward positions in the farm doesn't mean we should'nt continue to work on our strenths. Joe sakic has the best shot in the world! does that mean that in practice he should not waste time taking a single shot? No1 you work on both your weaknessess and strengths
