There was a great episode a few weeks ago concerning the Malarchuk incident. They explained/depicted exactly what happened & measured Malarchuk's response to watching a video of the accident. Pretty cool.
As stated earlier they should have used someone other than Luke, someone who could actually get the puck over 100MPH. However, they really lost me when they said the golfer "stopped his hands" at the bottom of the golf swing which allowed the club head to gain its speed. I turned it off after that.
They also forgot to mention that the mass of a hockey puck is 6 ounces, but a golf ball is only about 1.5

The players skating momentum would help the hockey shot even more. Bobby Hull was clocked at 120 MPH in the 1960's by some Canadian University professor, but I think he was allowed to skate the length of the ice before uncorking it (as opposed to the 3-strides setup at todays all-star games).

Yea, while the golf guy gets to wear his sponsor's (UnderArmour) shirt. <sigh>

It was just reaired last night, i caught the very end right when they were showing Malarchuk, very interesting stuff.
He says he has no response to the video anymore but his nurons (sp?) say different. The human body is a very interesting thing.
I heard there was an episode that said Jordan Farmar had a 48' vertical leap...that's four fricken feet! I wish someone could link me that episode, I haven't been able to find it yet.
