Did anybody else listen to this interview? He said that Stamkos and Daughty were players that could play and have an impact in the NHL in their first year, and he would love to have either of them on the Kings.
If we go first or second overall, Stamkos or Doughty will be in a Kings uniform next season, everyone knows that. I agree it is not good to be shouting that before the draft because with a guy like Lombardi at the helm you and juke other teams out a bit, but overall it was just Luc's opinion that IF they ended up with any of those two (it is not Luc's decision in the first place) then he will be happy to see one of them in a King's uniform. He is not saying that they will pick either of those two, even though it is obvious we would, and he was likely asked a direct question like how would you feel if you got either one kind of thing. He was just saying he wouldn't mind.
