At least every team has the certainty he is locked up for a couple of years. Considering his play this season that's no pro but I'm sure he will come back.
But last year they could've moved him with a year and a half left on a cheap contract with him putting up top shelf numbers. The Kings could've gotten a helluva lot back. Also, people have been saying "he will come back" all season. He hasn't. I never put Lubo into the "playing good for a contract" category, but I have to wonder.

But who, in the last 5 years at least, have the Kings traded that they developed that has gone on to doing anything of importance elsewhere? Sure, back in the Gretzky years it was commonplace, but for a while now the Kings haven't done that and they have had many players on the team for long periods of time. If you look at the guys they traded, the one who stands out now is Jokinen - and the Kings still won that deal. Olli sucked for years after the Kings traded him and it wasn't until Keenan found a way to light a fire under his ass that he finally put his game together.
If you have a guy at work that makes 3 times more money than you this year and doesn't want to work and is slacking, you would be looking at him and slacking him as well imo.

Fair enough and true.
I actually meant it would be nice if the Kings could keep some players for a longer period of time. With Lubo we finally have one and then we would trade him again. I don't like that.
Indeed they haven't developed much over the years.
Heck, there wasn't much to develop because the talent was simply not there. All those scrubs from Europe didn't do them good either.
Not only turnovers. Are you kidding!!?? he shoots wide ALL THE TIME!! It doesn't matter if he is 3 bloody feet away. WIDE, WIDE, WIDE. I always cringe when he shoots from the point. He has been absolutely terrible this year!!
