That's a pretty subjective list of teams who are "In The Hunt."

Making up any more than a handful of points near the end of the season in the NHL is a very unlikely prospect, especially with the pity-point. For that reason, I'd place the Islanders, Thrashers, Lightning, Blue Jackets, Blackhawks, and Blues into a new category called: Not Mathematically Eliminated But Have Almost No Chance To Make The Playoffs So They Might As Well Be Mathematically Eliminated.

I'd agree but it ain't a lock. With Andy Murray's experience in late season collapses St. Louis has been added to the hunt.

Then there's the lottery to worry about.....

I've been embarrassingly routing for the other teams for a week or so now....I want the Kings to play well and lose late the game by a goal. That seems to be a happy compromise.
