FSN West presents "Kings Insider: Dustin Brown" on Saturday, Feb. 2nd at 6:30.
The program is pretty much an end-to-end interview with "Brownie" in the FOX studios and in his huge home in Redondo Beach. Dustin and his wife, Nicole, talk about his career as well as Nicole's since she played hockey and won a couple of championships (which she rubs in at every opportunity). Dustin calls her "the Critic" and reveals that some of her post-game reviews are even more critical than Coach Marc Crawford.
They show us around the house where the couple are making room for their first child, who the doctors say will be a boy. The three dogs get plenty of camera time while sticking right by their masters' sides as we hear about Dustin's first NHL goal before he digs the puck out of the closet to show off. We also get a look at his Monarchs/Kings bobblehead doll that was customized complete with missing teeth during his time in Manchester.
If you miss the initial screening on Feb. 2nd at 6:30, the program will be repeated again at 10 PM and also on Tues., Feb 5th at 6:30 PM; Sat., Feb. 9th at 10 PM; Sun., Feb. 10th at 10 PM; Tuesday, Feb. 12th at 10 PM; and Friday, Feb. 15th at 7 PM.
I just watched this. Nicole is way cool. She actually tells him stuff like, "You need to work on your puck possession." And she actually said, "There are times I wish he'd drop the gloves."
I also found it funny when she said she likes watching hockey so much she'd consider going to watch (not cheer for) the Ducks home games except that Dustin won't let her.
Don't have cable TV. So hopefully someone can YouTube it as well... Same goes for Royal Race "episodes". Someone put up Part 1... but I never saw that person put up Part 2 :(
