Since some of you were quick to point out that they didn't care if the Kings lost, but it was that they had no heart, got blown out, tuned out the coach, can't play the system, etc. that made you hate the team and want everyone traded & fired, I decided to take a look at the rest of the league and see how all the other teams with heart, grit and character have faired so far this season. Each team's worst loss listed below:
Ducks lost 5-0
Thrashers lost 6-0
Bruins lost 6-1
Buffalo lost 8-2 (to the Kings, no less)
Carolina lost 8-1
Chicago lost 9-2 (to the Kings, no less)
Colorado lost 6-1
Columbus lost 6-1
Dallas lost 5-0
Detroit lost 6-3
Edmonton lost 5-2
Florida lost 5-1
Minnesota lost 5-0
Montreal lost 4-0
Nashville lost 6-0 (to the Kings, no less)
New Jersey lost 5-0
Islanders lost 8-1
Rangers lost 5-1
Senators lost 6-3
Flyers lost 6-2
Phoenix lost 5-0
Pittsburgh lost 8-2
San Jose lost 7-1
St. Louis lost 5-0
Tampa Bay lost 6-1
Toronto lost 7-1 (twice) Vancouver and the Great Wall of Luongo lost 8-2
Washington lost 5-0
So with the exception of Detroit and Ottawa, every team has lost a game by at least four goals, with over a 3rd of the teams being shut out in that loss. And the season is barely half over.
Getting blown out happens to every team, and if every team went ape **** the way some people here did after the Nashville loss, Buffalo, Chicago, Nashville, NY Islanders, Pittsburgh, San Jose, Toronto, and Vancouver would all be looking for new coaches right now.
"A little patience, mm yeah, yeah,
Need a little patience, yeah
Just a little patience, yeah
Some more patience..."
