hickey was drafted higher than kopitar. the higher you're drafted the more money you'll get on your rookie contract.

It will be interesting the way DL approaches this. Will he low ball him and say no playoff experience yada yada. Or will he offer him a generous contract and hint he's a future captain? I have a feeling DL is getting friendly w/ Anze's parents to feel them out as far as what they expect....
