I can understand a first year all-star like Anze being a little unsure of what was acceptable.
That only makes sense if you were talking about Dustin Brown. It's not like Kopitar is one to throw the body around. Not only that there were a lot of other first time All-Stars that actually play a physical game and acclimated just fine.
Anze loafed it a bit out there. It's not a big deal.
When you've got Ribiero and Horcoff on your wings during an All-Star Game the chances of looking like a tard are high.
Seriously though Kopitar was FINE. He's 20 ****ing years old and the look in his eyes Saturday and Sunday is the definition of starstruck. Anyone genuinely critiquing his play during an Exhibition game should be kicked in the taint, repeatedly.
I was royally pissed off when I saw he was going to play with Horcoff and Ribeiro instead Gaborik and Sedin.
Not like I care too much about the ASG, but it'd be fabulous to see Kopi with Gaborik.
Not to mention Anze didn't take it seriously...we can be very proud of him for being so mature that he realized it's a ****ing ALL STAR GAME. And that it DOESN'T COUNT. PURE FUN. Nothing more. Just fun, fun and fun.
Besides, everybody already knows who I cheer for. In the event they don't win I'm sure I'll catch hell. Shoot...I caught hell after they lost a regular season game to LA.
Lol, true. But it's the Kings-Ducks rivalry, what did you expect. Some people were even happy with last season, because Kings played well against the Ducks.

I don't see how that makes anything interesting. I'm already going out on a limb saying that one specific team will win the Cup. You get all of the other 29 teams. You saying they won't repeat is NOT going out on a limb so if anyone should be called out it's you for making such a safe bet.
How can this be a safe bet? It's Teeeeemuu MF Sauna guy!! Ok, I'll pick Detroit, how does that sound to you? If a third team wins, nobody gets the funny signature.

I'll probably be changing my sig in a week. I change them constantly to fit my mood or the times. No need to bet...you know deep down that Anaheim is gonna take it.

Actually my point (which I didn't come close to making) was the "game" was so far from an actual hockey game that Anze didn't know exactlly how to play, or what was expected of him. He did coast all around as did many players.
I didn't expect people to really hit, but they could have a least done some checking. To give it some semblance of a real game. Yeah, it's only an all-star game, but that didn't stop the league from charging people to watch it.
They should have the AHL all-stars (or College All-stars) play the NHL Stanley cup champion if they want to spice it up. The NFL used to have the College all-stars play an NFL team, and you know the lower team will give an effort, thereby causing the Pros to give an effort to avoid embarrassing themselves. Otherwise why bother.
The ONLY players who weren't playing with 50% effort were the goalies. And they had some serious work to do as players were able to shoot from 3rd or 4th rebounds, that's how serious defensemen were playing.
