Not totally sure about this but doesn't Malkin play on line 2? If so, he has the benefit of having Crosby face the opposing teams top guys and leaving them to match him up against the second tier.
and to think, this dude ain't s*** without Crosby!
Im glad u share emotions with Pens fans, but as long as the Kings are concerned "Kopi>Malkin" still stands. And that is for one obvius reason...Malkin is not on our roster.
Malkin knows his trade very good no doubt, but I feel that "LOLapalooza!" should come from some one other than Kings fan. I still dont understand the "American" fan. Dont get me wrong but I find that cheering for someone on other team over your own player silly. Maybe becourse I am not used to the concept of tradeing players and teams in Slovenia mostly used their own youth to build up a team (that changed with two of our teams in Austrian ligue)...
Aniways I better show u an example of what I think: Consider yourself beeing a soldier somewhere in Irak. Your team has six soldiers (inclouding yourself). And the only five that should of been important to you are those five people watching each others back. You might consider some lt. Hotshot the best shooter,leader... in US Army, BUT as long as you are concerned (or "should" be concerned) there is ONLY you and those five beside you...That is called a Team.
I realy expected more Team spirit from fans on LGK but some of you just seem to amaze me, btw I didnt like the "LOLROFLMAO" Cammy thread eather (If I would have to bet I would say Trdi started it as a reaction to this one). As long as they are Kings they earn our respect becourse every Teams power source is respect. I know Americans dont like Russians (that dont play hockey), but their soldiers address each other as "comrad" wich means my friend or we could say "You who are in the same **** as I am."
Please show more Team-spirit this forum is still called Lets-Go-Kings.
EDIT: Kopi should be to the Kings fan what Crosby is to Pens fan in my opinion.

Apparently you missed the thread from last year that this thread is calling out. As a result the spirit of the original posters intent went straight over your head.
If the question posed is who is a better player impartial and unbiased answers should be given. However, many LGKers like yourself chose to be myopic automotons swinging from Kopitar's short and curlies. That is all fine and dandy if the question is who will you cheer for if both Kopitar and Malkin are on the ice but it's not all fine and dandy when someone asks your for an educated and honest opinion on who is the better player.
A handful of people said Malkin. We were derided by people such as yourself. We had to stand by and listen to biased individuals such as yourself bitch and complain when the Calder finalists were Staal and Stastny (yes you can argue Kopitar over Staal but not over Stastny). Fact of the matter is....Kopitar IS NOT a better player than Malkin and quite possibly never will be. A King fan acknowledging that DOES NOT make them a bad King fan. It means that they don't drink the Kool Aid of blind and sometimes idiotic loyalty. Anyone who constantly answers the question of who is the better player dude on your team or other dude with "guy on my team" no matter what is a homer and an idiot. Nobody can ever have an intelligent conversation with such a guy. Such a guy is never fun to talk to.
Many people argued that the only reason Malkin had better numbers is because he played with Crosby. Now that he is tearing it up without Crosby guys like Ges have every right to stick it in their myopic faces. It's basically reminding the general population that rational thinking and honest evaluation will always trump blind loyalty in a battle of wit. Malkin proving our point basically helps make the point that some people are smarter than others.
Apparently you missed a lot of threads, because I remember at least 10 threads with Kopitar, Malkin and "<" or ">" in the title.

Oh, you mean those late threads!! Ohhhh, well, that's when all the fun was already over, OP. I realize now, you can't know that, because you weren't a member before April 2007. I can assure you, that gescom is NOT calling out because of those threads, the threads in question were much earlier. As far as I remember, nobody was questioning Malkin's Calder Trophy and a small number of people were questioning Stastny nomination. 99% of people were bitching about Staal being selected over Kopitar and we were damn right! That was hillarious and Kopitar should be selected in the Rookies starting lineup with Malkin and Stastny. There will never be any calling out regarding that, because people were correct and those who opposed the same opinion, that Kopitar should be there, are idiots. As it looks now.

Yeah, calling out is great. Especially because people usually don't have the balls to eat crow. They start with lame excuses like "I didn't mean that" or "I said that different." or "But, but but but..."

Please do not compare sports with the military or combat situations. Even though you might think of them as similar they do not even closely resemble the same thing. In sports and especially North American sports players will change loyalties 2,3,4 and sometimes more in their short careers. As a persons fanaticism might be for one team they can still appreciate the talent that is on other teams and hope that one day that talent or similar might play for their team.
From the Lost Scriptures of Kopitaris: To be able to admit that there is better talent out there that does not play for the Kings is the first step into enlightenment.
