Who you faceoff against kind of makes a difference too. Looking closer, we see that 10 of Kopitar's 11 faceoffs were against Kesler.
Kesler is Vancouver's top faceoff man with a 55.2% win percentage. Yesterday he was 16 for 18, shutting out Kopitar (10/10), O'Sullivan (4/4), and Thornton (1/1).

Nice observation. Makes me feel a little better
He doesn't need to drastically change overnight or anything, I just hope that he will progress steadily and eventually get up to the 53% area in the next 2-3 years.

Nice breakdown.
Still, it's a disease affecting all of our centers except Army. When we get serious about competing for the playoffs, we really need to find a face-off specialist (barring significant improvement by the guys we currently have). Either that, or stick Cammalleri in there...
There's a chance that Handzus will turn it around and be that guy (which would be convenient), since he did lead the Flyers in FO% one year.

Of our current roster players, I believe Cammalleri is the best on the faceoff, but he usually doesn't take that many in a game.

Right on. Plus, it's more to faceoffs than just one-on-one. The center may win the draw, but which team ends up with the puck counts as who won it for the stat sheet. So he may get it but if his teammates don't jump in to get it, they loose the faceoff (at least that's what I heard).
