I don't know who the British guy, but I do know the majority of the people who call in to Kings Talk are shockingly uninformed and borderline hockey-retarded. Can people who actually really follow this team call and ask some specific questions that Nick and Daryl could actually possibly shed some insider light on? I know they'll probably dodge the tough ones, but they'll give answers that are enlightening sometimes.
They're just happy 5 year olds will call and hope for popcorn...or that anyone calls at all. So long as they have to give stuff out to get people to call...your're going to get all kinds of garbage.
I used to think Paul (british guy) was an LGK guy but after listening last night and hearing he didn't even know what Modry was traded for, or whom he was traded to - I guess we can rule that out.
Still, I thought that Nick had some very insightful answers on the draft questions he received especially when speaking about Zach Bogosian. When I first read of the kid 1 or 2 months ago, I thought he reeked a DL guy. He would seem to fit the mold of defenseman the Kings are missing but The Kings would never take him first. They'd have to move down at least 3 slots... and maybe walk away with a King's ransom for whoever wanted Stamkos.
If you have a chance to draft Stamkos, you draft Stamkos...if you need to down the line trade him for rugged D-man, that won't be any problem. We all know Jack Johnson is a stud and will only get better but can you imagine Pittsburgh trading down with the #1 overall pick to draft him at 3 when they got Crosby? I know Stamkos is not quite that kind of talent, but essentially thats what you're doing if you trade out of the 1st overall.

People who actually really follow this team know that Nick and Daryl -- as nice & genial a pair of hosts as you'll find -- are there to placate the Kings ticket-buying community so that they'll continue to buy tickets.

I've tried calling once, but kept getting the busy signal... When the hell are you supposed to call to get through? Sometime during the 3rd period or something?
