God damn you're "special," even by LGK standards, and that is really saying something. Since you apparently can't even remember what you said, let me spell it out for you:
I know that it's really hard for you, but try to imagine a second line of Willsie/Armstrong/Calder and then try to think about why that might be a problem.
Hey, your response was almost amusing. You're really improving! You must have been working on this all day.
I can't help but feel partly responsible for your turn around. I'm still waiting for my thanks. I don't do this for nothing you know.
Obviously moving Brown and Fro would mean that more moves would have to be made to bring in some scoring. The line of Willisie/Armstrong/Calder made me throw up a little in my mouth. But again, I'll go back to what I said before, it's easier to find players like Brown and Fro, than it is Luongo. Furthermore, as I've also previously stated, what's the worst that can happen? Last place?
Boy we're really going around in circles here. Thankfully, I work with people with disabilities, so I have the patience for discussions with you. Wish I was getting paid though....

Yet again you make me wonder how you have the motor skills to breathe, let alone type.
I don't doubt it. I'm sure you wonder about a lot of things that aren't really that hard to figure out.

For a bunch of fans that demand so much excellence from the Canucks, all their holding of the organization accountable has produced jack **** on the ice.
Yep, that's why Vancouver sucks. Trust me, I would know, I used to live there. But guess who's even worse than them???

I know, I know, let me save you from typing it: "Huh? I don't get it."
No, I get it. Wrong again spanky

That's so amazing! Five out of the last seven years?! Since the goal is to just "make the playoffs," that's really something prolific. Funny though, I was under the impression that the goal was to build a team capable of winning it all.
I would have thought that the 10 years under Taylor of just barely scraping into the playoffs occasionally would have been enough for all Kings fans, but apparently you're more than happy to grab that **** with both hands and suck on it for eternity.
Yeah, yeah, right: "What???"
Did anyone really think that Calgary or Edmonton were going to go to the Cup finals, let alone the 7th game? (farther than the Kings have EVER made it) All you have to do is get in the playoffs, get hot at the right time, and you never know what can happen. Regardless, it would be more interesting than watching the steaming pile of turds that's been LA in recent years. I guess you prefer last place.

Keep plugging away Corky, we're all rooting for you to find that clue someday.
Have I made your dreams come true? Come on, show me some love. You know you want to.

I get it, I just don't embrace it like every thing's going perfectly according to plan.
Once again, pure speculation presented as fact. Nice job.
Are you telling me that the King's haven't sucked enough over the last few years? Are you saying that this franchise hasn't been paying its dues? Are you saying that Kings fans aren't treated to more than their fair share of misery? You've obviously been suckered into believing that rebuilding takes forever, and as teams like Anaheim, Carolina, and probably Tampa (soon enough) can attest, that's just not true.
What you need to understand is this: Quality players can be found outside of the top 5picks. Read that last sentence again so it sinks in ok? It IS possible.
1. Nothing this complicated ever goes 100% according to plan.
2. My speculation regarding the Canucks' future as a playoff also ran is as valid as any of the assumptions you have made about the Kings regarding Luongo, and probably more so because I actually know what I am talking about.
3. I'm wise enough to know that after watching the Taylor years and the GM's the Kings had before that the Kings had never paid their dues. It was a franchise that was looking for the quick fix from day one, so now that it is finally being built the right way from the ground up I am willing to be patient.

Really? Nonis couldn't seem to find any players like that.

True. That makes a last place finish all the more disconcerting, because obviously many of DL's moves haven't worked out. Could we possibly be agreeing on something? You realize that we're really just looking at opposite sides of the same coin.

First half is correct. The second half is your usual mindless trite.

As am I, but I'm not willing to sit there and pretend that all is well in Kings-ville.

You telling me that means it can't be done? Obviously others feel differently, or he wouldn't have been fired. Swing, an a miss again, Kings17.
I have one small question for those that wanted this trade to happen, and think DL didn't do it because he is stupid, short-sighted SOB (or whatever):
-Young players: what do they get used to quicker, losing, or mediocrity?
The answer is YES. Mediocrity.
2 Scenarios-1st one is when the Kings DON'T trade for Luongo, and are like they are, 2nd one is when the Kings DO trade for Luongo:
1.) They get fed up with losing after a while...and they want to either:
a) Move on.
b) Stay with the club.
(duh)
When do they choose a)?
When the team is sheat, no talent, and they have no future with the club, etc.
When do they choose b)?
When the team is stacked with young talent, and they have a bright future with the club, etc.
2.) They get used to mediocrity. They don't necessarily want to move on, they don't necessarily want to stay. You get a bunch of undetermined players, that are like "we lost this one, but we'll probably win next one, or the one after...". Result is, a team with players like that is NOT able to win it all.
-By trading for Luongo BEFORE our key youngsters develop PROPERLY, and BEFORE we fix the damn defense, this team would NOT be a playoff contender right away...result = mediocrity -> our youngster become: undetermined bunch of players that are used to mediocrity, unambitious, no real motivation to improve as much as they possibly can etc.
-By not trading Luongo, we have a team with much brighter future, 2 more core players, that is fed up with losing but that KNOWS this will not last for more than 2 years. They are DETERMINED to improve THIS team, because they know that in the long run they will generate MUCH better results. After this, you either have your own (Bernier), or you trade for that final piece...because the team is determined to make a BIG step forward, and if you have to trade for that final piece, you HAVE the expendable assets to do it without hindering the core of your team.
This I would call proper plan to develop your team to win AT LEAST one Cup in the near future.
Furthermore, as I've also previously stated, what's the worst that can happen? Last place?
Yes, there is something worse, that can happen : nonplayoff finish without upside. DL could assemble a playoff team any day of the week. With our assets, he can make it happen tomorrow. But then we'd be a playoff team with no upside. I'll take the Cup, thanks.

I'm not trying to slam you or anything but why does everyone think it takes a last place team to win the cup? We could have been a low seed playoff team and continued building for a higher ranking or the ability to go deeper into the playoffs. We have to make the playoffs before we can win a cup and in my opinion we are on the road to frustrating a lot of our players. Right now we can't bring on proven talent because nobody wants to play in LA and our youngsters, as good as they are, still don't seem to click well together. We have a lot of issues that need to be tackled and quickly if this team wants to be a cup contender.
