KINGS RECALL FORWARD MATT MOULSON FROM MANCHESTER (AHL)
LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Kings have recalled forward Matt Moulson from the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.
Moulson, 24, has played in 12 games with the Kings this season and has three points – including three goals -- and two penalty minutes. With the Monarchs, he has played in 31 games this season and has 31 points (16-15=31) and 13 penalty minutes. The 6-1, 210-pound Moulson, who was originally selected by Pittsburgh in the ninth-round (263rd overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, was signed by the Kings as an unrestricted free agent on September 1, 2006. He is a native of North York, Ontario.
The Kings open a two-game homestand tomorrow, Tuesday, against Detroit at STAPLES Center at 7:30 p.m. The game will air on FSN West, KTLK AM 1150 and on the Kings Radio Network.

Are they going to put Moulson on a line with Purcell,since he was in Manchester. Welcome back Matt and maybe that's a sign that someone is going to be traded. Just saying.
He was better than half our offense. I wish they never would have dropped him.

I checked his stats today as I was looking at Purcell's. 3 goals and 1 assist. Not bad. Why did they send him down to begin with. He didn't look out of place to me.
Next Year? Hell, tomorrow night. Barring Crawford playing Thornton with Handzus and Calder on the third line, Moulson and Purcell are going to get decent minutes, and likely some powerplay time.
Unless he's an idiot and plays 7 defensemen again.
