Question Kings prospect question

OK, I have been meaning to ask this for a while and keep forgetting... In the 06 draft, the Kings selected a forward in the later rounds (3rd or later I think) that would have been ranked much higher, but had some sort of wrist injury, from what I recall. This was touted as a risky move with potential high payoff. Does anyone remember who this guy is, where he is now, and how he's doing? Thanks.

It's David Meckler who was selected in the 5th round. HEre is his information:

Prospect David Meckler Player Profile - Hockey's Future

Manchester Monarchs Hockey

He is in Manchester as a 1st year pro. I believe he is doing fairly well, but further reports would be great
