About This Page: This is a discussion on LA Kings Talk within the LetsGoKings.com forums, at Los Angeles Kings Hockey Fan Forum. At least they have been since Christmas.
Here are the League Win/Loss records since Christmas. If they keep this up they will be picking somewhere between 10 and 16.
Here are the League Win/Loss records since Christmas. If they keep this up they will be picking somewhere between 10 and 16. For those that think the Kings can still make the playoffs chances are they won't but there is still maybe a 1% chance that they might.

I, for one, am pleased as punch over this turn of events.
I hope the Kings pick 17th in the draft and take someone that King'sPawn and DieRadioDie have only heard of in passing reference in some obscure scouting report from East Berzerkistan.
Not because I'm petty and enjoy watching the outrage on LGK (tho that is a side benefit) but because it would indicate that the players on this team are learning how to win, learning how to play through adversity and steep odds and most importantly.... playing entertaining hockey.
So you can all side with CBGB and root for a last place finish and hope that somehow Stamkos (or whomever) will be the turning point in this franchises sorry history. Or you can hope that the last four seasons of conservative prospect trading (Grebeshkov and Tambellini notwithstanding) and aggressive prospect acquisition is starting to pay off.

I love it. I'll take a win any day over anything else. The team needs to go through a time of mediocre play to get to consistent winning play. There will be a number 1 pick in every draft. The key now is development. The Kings have been getting better play from their prospects since their affiliation and involvement with Manchester.
